Specimen notes
Public Note:
with very short lamellulae in a single series. Stem with marginate bulb with grey felty veil - like nehuta. Stem with grey felty veil fragment, ring pendulous, grey, striate above. Cap with grey/brown pyramidal scales, but easily washed off. No taste or smell. Spores amyloid. Cap margin not appendiculate. Keys to A. australis, but surely not. Are there Kunzea/Nothofagus separate species? This more like Clive's images of the tea-tree sp, and not those with Nothofagus. The poor sequence from this also hints the tea-tree and beech versions may be different but closey related species. A grey rim to the basal volva (like A. nehuta) may be a distinguishing character.
