Public Note:
spores length=19.1-20.5µm (µ=19.8, σ=0.46), width=10.0-11.3µm (µ=10.6, σ=0.43), Q=1.7-2.0µm (µ=1.86, σ=0.10), n=10. Spores smooth. 3 layers, but middle layer single. There is still confusion amongst the brown dung pezizas - fimeti, bovina and vesiculosa. Hansen indicated dung species form a group, accepts bovina as a synonym of fimeti and indicate there is only one species on dung, andit is not vesiculosa, which is big and on straw etc. I expect NZ records of P. vesiculosa on dung are this.
