Public Note:
Symptoms look like those associated with recently fallen leaves of a number of plants, where gregarious groups of Mycosphaerella perithecia develop in patches across the leaf, these patches often delimited in part by the leaf veins. Strong chance that this fungus was endophytic within the living leaves, the fruiting occuring on senescent or recently fallen leaves.
