Public Note:
no prostrate kunzea seen but not Pisolithus anyway. Close to the real S. areolatum from UK (not US stuff). Requires micro details. Close to sequence of Au S. mcalpinei, invalid combination by Castellano from Hydnangium macalpinei but that is widely accepted as Octavianina tasmanica. Castellano also has synonym S. paradoxum, hypogeous smooth skinned species. So DQ682999/EU718122 is not this species. The material is immature so spore details will not be correct. Hyphae clamped. Same as PDD 75070
