Specimen notes
Public Note:
smell slightly fruity, no taste, cap without peelable membrane. Note that sequence-wise this agrees with Pat's PL93507. However, these sit within the Kuhneromyces clade and not Deconica, and these have a tough wiry stem and shorter stature than jac10519. These are not D.nz even tho the spores are perhaps closer to Egon's original description (but not PRJ's redescription with rhomboidal spores). No pleurocystidia. Cystidia without brown content. Spores thick-walled. length=6.6–8.2µm (µ=7.2, σ=0.41), width=4.1–5.1µm (µ=4.4, σ=0.27), Q=1.5–1.9µm (µ=1.64, σ=0.11), n=20. Gill tissue with brown zebroid encrustation. K. lignatilis apparently has spores rough under SEM. D. nz on soil, this on wood. This appears t be identical to the Australian Psilocybe brunneoalbescens, and it needs a recombination into Kuehneromyces.
