Specimen notes
Public Note:
Brown silky rosette. Strong mushroomy smell, perhaps styrene? I can see no difference in the descriptions of plicatus and nothofagi. It is unfortunate that McNabb and Geesteranus published works at the same time. It seems that McNabb was not aware of the Tasmanian taxon. I'm going with Pat Leonards on this - plicatus and nothofagi are synonyms and plicatus wins. Sequence different to 13446. Note that rosette appears more entire and silky than P. plicatus #1
