Public Note:
cap to 1.5cm, pellucid striate, greasy, strongly hygrophanous., not black in KOH. Pellicle not separable. Stem hollow, gills broadly attached, some stems with distinct veilar remnants as ring. Taste sweetish, mushroomy. Spores snuff brown, smooth, not dextrinoid, thick-walled, with germ pore, length=6.6-7.6µm (µ=7.2, σ=0.4), width=3.9-4.5µm (µ=4.2, σ=0.2), Q=1.6-1.9µm (µ=1.7, σ=0.1), n=11. Cap a cutis of chains of elliptical cells, clamped and with brown mucilaginous covering. 4-spored, cheilocystidia large, cylindrical to utriform, variable in size and shape. Cystidia clamped at base and with brown encrustation of cap hyphae at base. Pleurocystidia absent. No chrysocystidia. For Egon Flammulaster without germ pore in main key, but then F. ciliatus described with distinctive germ pore! This collections looks the same as Egon's ZT0591 as Kuehneromyces - and fits my concept of that genus. See also Galerina sideroides.
