Public Note:
MIke M had as E. phaeomarginatum but cap and stem are dark violet and gill edge is not dark. Stem has stained red at base. Cheilocystidia broadly cylindrical (basidiolar), spores not cuboid. Spores length=10.2–12.3µm (µ=11.1, σ=0.7), width=5.9–7.8µm (µ=6.5, σ=0.5), Q=1.6–1.8µm (µ=1.7, σ=0.1), n=11. All of which suggest E. asprelloides but Gen split from E. asprelloides, and the pink stipe base wins IMO.
