fugacious ring, not staining orange/brown. Some wood at stem base. A 'clelandii on steroids'. Brown scales on cap trichodermal, without clamps, 2-spored. Gills with oleiferous hyphae. Spores variable in size on the gill. Spores in two sizes - length=13.9-15.4µm (µ=14.8, σ=0.7), width=9.6-11.1µm (µ=10.4, σ=0.5), Q=1.3-1.5µm (µ=1.4, σ=0.1), n=8 and length=19.5-22.2µm (µ=20.9, σ=1.3), width=13.5-14.4µm (µ=13.9, σ=0.3), Q=1.4-1.6µm (µ=1.5, σ=0.1), n=6
