Public Note:
Outer surface white furfuraceous, thick septate 'hairs' to 150 x 20um, often forked at the base. No tissue reacting with melzers. Operculate. Paraphyses enlared at apex, with pigment granules. Asci to 220 x 12um. Spores length=11.9-14.6µm (µ=13.5, σ=0.8), width=6.3-7.2µm (µ=6.9, σ=0.3), Q=1.7-2.1µm (µ=2.0, σ=0.1), n=11. Smooth, appear to have mucilaginous sheath in ascus but not when free. Hairs are close to A. nitida sensu Korf (=A. melaloma sensu B&K v1)
