Specimen notes
Public Note:
no tissue amyloid, basidia and spores sometimes dextrinoid. Cap a partially gelatinised clamped cutis. No caulocystidia. 4-spored. Spores smooth. A smaller version of 'Mcleans's Island'? Is this known in Oz? Spores variable in size, possibly larger when immature and before secession (or there's a mycoparasite and two things here). Sterigma long, collapsing. Spores length=7.9–9.6µm (µ=8.6, σ=0.5), width=3.6–5.0µm (µ=4.2, σ=0.5), Q=1.7–2.4µm (µ=2.1, σ=0.2), n=12. Related to Collybiopsis/Rhodocollybia? Except you'd expect a ramealis cap like M. ramealis - the type of Collybiopsis. Related to M. omphalodes in need of a gen. nov.
