checked microscopically. Clamped. Cap hyphae all thin-walled. Without gelatinous layer - Singer's section Inodermini stirps inoderma. See M. lateralis (Europe, cheilo wrong), gossypinulus (too big, but on Nothofagus), concolor (non-stipitate), tropicalis (too big), and especially pernambucensis from Brazil's Atlantic coast.
