growing in well roted brown wood and soil. Gill edge concolorous, spores not cuboid, cap glabrous, hygropahnous (with yellow nipple), cheilocystidia absent (Funga Nordica key K), 4-spored, 7-angled, Q> 1.2. cap hyphae unclamped, pigment intra-cellular, spores to 8um wide, stem fibrous striate, E. cuneatum. Gills sub-free. Spores length=9.5-11.1µm (µ=10.2, σ=0.5), width=6.0-7.7µm (µ=6.7, σ=0.5), Q=1.3-1.6µm (µ=1.5, σ=0.1), n=11. New to NZ
