Specimen notes
Public Note:
with strong cortina when young. Stem bruising red/orange. Base with rhizoids. Cap not staining green in KOH/NH4OH. No smell. Gills white. Not discoloured. Gills not as yellow as photo suggests. Gills retaining cream colour on drying. Not Gypsy Glen as gills not drying pink, withoutdarker gill edge, and no reaction with ammonia. A stenosporus Lepiota. Close to adusta but not the same. None of Horak's taxa? Terminal cap hyphae relatively pale, with yellow granules in Melzers. Spores length=8.1–9.7µm (µ=9.0, σ=0.4), width=2.8–3.3µm (µ=3.0, σ=0.2), Q=2.8–3.2µm (µ=3.0, σ=0.2), n=13. The granules in cap hyphae typical of L. boudieri and sequences close (but not identical) Near L. rhodophylla.
