Specimen notes
Public Note:
Myriangales. Stroma greenish in melzers. Spores 3-septate. A single layer of cylindrical/ellispoidal bitinicate asci seem to be adjacent directly in the stroma? There are a number of species reported on the fabaceae. E. sesbaniae wrong morphology. E. dolichi, E. tephrosiae? E. phaseoli is symmetric with occasional longitudinal septum. E. canavaliae with constricted septa and symmetrical. E. hardenbergiae seems close from the description, but usual with Elsinoe is a leaf pathogen. Sophora fraseri has been associated with endophytes close to E. phaseoli and centrolobi.
