Specimen notes
Public Note:
This a teleomorph. It has the expected Cladosporium anamorph in culture. The conidia are smooth, placing this in the C. cladosporioides complex. Macronematous conidiophores non-nodulose, to 250um tall. Conidia mostly 3um wide, 0-septate, condiophore without head-like apex. Ramoconidia short, < 12um. Seems close to C. cladosporioides sensu stricto (SIM67). The neotype is from Pisum. So, this cannot be Davidiella tassiana = Cladosporum herbarum, because the latter is verrucose. No teleomorph is known for C. cladosporioides. To ICMP 5/11/2010
