Specimen notes
Public Note:
10=11x5um 4-spored. Massee 1890, Grevillea. Rodway, 1911 2-4 spored. Cunningham 12-25x7-11 and pictured as 4-spored. Cunningham notes that his measurements show a greater degree of variation than previous workers and that differences are not worth separating species. Is that true? This material is consistently 4-spored. Perhaps 'pororori' is just immature W. erythrocephala? Spores look identical - including hyaline cap on germ pore. Clamped. Chrysocystidia not seen. Spores length=14.3-16.8µm (µ=15.7, σ=1.0), width=8.5-9.3µm (µ=8.9, σ=0.2), Q=1.5-1.9µm (µ=1.8, σ=0.1), n=10.
