Specimen notes
Public Note:
gill edge dark. strong basal interveining. gills dried cream. stem smooth, without caulo. cap smooth, without dextrinoid septa/clamps. Cheilos generally absent but with clusters (look at lamellulae on younger caps). Tissue not as strongly dextrinoid as other prunulus. spores length=6.6–8.0µm (µ=7.1, σ=0.39), width=3.5–4.2µm (µ=3.7, σ=0.18), Q=1.7–2.1µm (µ=1.91, σ=0.11), n=20. Segedin described a number of speces in rubromarinatae which don't belong. podocarpi, austroavenacea and lividorubra sensu Segedin are section calodontes. These three, sensu Segedin, appear to be synonyms (the separating characters are variable). The first sensible name for nz taxa is M. lividorubra. The cheilo are not like the type of rubroglobulosa. Possibly M. kurramulla is a later synonym.
