Public Note:
peridium staining red. Blue/grey in FeS04 (not violet - see jac11415 ) Gleba olivaceous when dry (not brown like 11415). Peridium 2 layered. spores length=6.2-6.8µm (µ=6.5, σ=0.2), width=3.3-3.9µm (µ=3.6, σ=0.2), Q=1.7-2.0µm (µ=1.8, σ=0.1), n=9. ITS places near Gautieria, but match is short, and of course spores are very different to Gautieria (& Austrogautieria). Sister to Hysterangium (within in!). The type of Gallacea is scleroderma for which currently no ITS. Other genes separate gallacea from hysterangium (Giachini, Fun. Biol. v114, Hosaka etc), so this perhaps better places in galacea or misid, although something doesn't feel right - there is a very different clade membership here to that found by Hosaka - perhaps just consequence of single gene.
