Public Note:
Cap is flesh coloured. Cap tissue undifferentiated. Has colouration of C. carneolus, but not the cheilocystidia which are generally capitate, with some (maybe 10%) with knobbled apex. Is not C. dilutus. Note C. carneolus only known from a single collection (and with atypical cheilocystidia?). I think this collection is probably just an extension of the morphology of C. carneolus. Spores length=4.7-5.6µm (µ=5.2, σ=0.3). Sequence places it within Crepidotus most near C. crocophyllus from USA but close (10bp) to C. lateralipes (FZ2010/0666). Crepidotus seems to have 3 clades around C. molllis, C. applanata, and C. novaezelandiae. This is applanatus group, with spherical spores (Smith's subgenus spherula). To EH 2012. Returned to PDD 05/2012
