Public Note:
with fringed striate basal disk. Arising from button, not spiky. Stem to 2cm, cap to 4mm. Stem smooth. Cap smooth. Stem strongly vinaecous in melzers, 4-spored, cap with gelatinous pellicle, elongate ornamented hyphae, cheilocystidia not seen. Spores length=6.5–8.0µm (µ=7.6, σ=0.5), width=3.3–4.3µm (µ=3.8, σ=0.3), Q=1.8–2.2µm (µ=2.0, σ=0.1), n=12. Spikiness of Mt Grey variable. Note hat original Mt Grey is M. tenerrima so 'type' changed.
