cortex of thick-walled clamped hyphae, spores mainly 3 septate (but 1-6 present in some), Spores germinating to produce cylindrical conidia, spore length=9.3–13.8µm (µ=12.6, σ=1.1), width=4.3–5.8µm (µ=5.0, σ=0.5), Q=2.1–3.1µm (µ=2.6, σ=0.3), n=15. Easily confused with Dacryopinax - which has distinctly differentiated stipe and different microscopically.
