Specimen notes
Public Note:
Lepiotula/stenosporae. A bit similar to Leucoagraicus croceovelutinus but smaller, clamped, not staining, and clamped tissue. Stem base with brown fibrils. Cap with ferrugineus fibrils in a trichoderm (microscopically similar to Pluteus than any Lepiota's I've seen), spores dextrinoid, distinctly spurred. Egon's use of this name is based on Pegler's examination of a single poor type collection from Sri Lanka. I'd be stunned is they are actually the same. 4-spored length=7.6\endash9.6µm (µ=8.6, σ=0.6), width=3.6\endash4.2µm (µ=3.9, σ=0.2), Q=1.9\endash2.7µm (µ=2.2, σ=0.2), n=12. Note that Egon says this is close to L. fulvella which is treated by many as a synonym of L. boudieri. That has chained cuticular hyphae.
