Specimen notes
Public Note:
cap sticky. Gills not fluorescent on fresh material, patchily yellow on dried material. Veil yellow, some rhizoids yellow. Some caps with speck of veilar remants on cap - looking pholiota-ish. With thin-walled pleuro and cheilocystidia, not chrysocystidia. Spores smooth with very small germ pore, ellipsoid length=8.3\endash9.4µm (µ=8.8, σ=0.3), width=5.3\endash6.0µm (µ=5.6, σ=0.3), Q=1.5\endash1.7µm (µ=1.6, σ=0.1), n=10. Spores rust brown. Cap tissue clamped and broad, but not spherical. Another of these Cortinarius-like Pholiotas and close to chrysmoides. The lack of chrysocystidia here is puzzling.
