hot/bitter. Originally yellow, fading white. Filed #17. Gills occasionally forked, thick. Spores glassy hygrophoracea-like. Gill trama short celled irregular cap a glass-walled clamped cutis . 2-4-spored length=7.1\endash8.2µm (µ=7.6, σ=0.4), width=5.0\endash6.2µm (µ=5.8, σ=0.4), Q=1.2\endash1.5µm (µ=1.3, σ=0.1), n=13. Basidia collapsing at maturity 60x15-20um. A more than usual agaricoid form of Cantharellus wellingtonensis
