Specimen notes
Public Note:
clamped, basidia long, flexuouse, 2,4,5 spored. LSU places C. garnierii from New Caledonia in synonymy with C. wellingtonensis (2-3bp diff.). The morphological differences in cutis are not sufficient to differentiate. In Buyck's clade 3 with cinnabarina. ITS has two groups of 'wellingtonensis' but ITS signal here is odd. Blasts to a bacterium. Neither of Horak's have a photograph.
