Public Note:
ring strongly striate. KOH on cap dark red/brown. No taste/smell. Cap with inflated elements, ring high on stem. Despite looking like it could be Descolea majestatica this is a cortinarius near C. pselioticton (i.e. Rozites morphology). [2015] It appears D. majestatica IS a cortinarius, and this is it.
