taste mild, cap dark in KOH, not fluorescent. Cap sticky when wet. Stem with dark. Cap a clamped cutis with extra-cellular pigment. 4-spored, without pleurocystidia, without chrysocystidia, spores with pore length=6.8\endash7.4µm (µ=7.0, σ=0.2), width=3.8\endash4.3µm (µ=4.1, σ=0.1), Q=1.6\endash1.9µm (µ=1.7, σ=0.1), n=17, occasional cheilocystidia, some with yellow contents in water. subgenus flavidula - except this with germ pore.
