Specimen notes
Public Note:
with a raphanoid smell, taste slightly astringent. Gills white with a hint of grey, not discolouring. Cap with obvious hairs. Small stem when small. Starts of normal and cap inverts to become crepidotoid on maturity. Collected as a Cheimonophyllum etc. but with ridged spores, actually has everything from nearly globose smooth, through to elongate and ridged! 4-spored length=6.8\endash8.4µm (µ=7.7, σ=0.4), width=5.1\endash6.8µm (µ=5.9, σ=0.6), Q=1.2\endash1.5µm (µ=1.3, σ=0.1), n=10. Without cheilocystidia. Would seem close to Clitopilus 88168. Without crystals or encrusted hypahe in cap. Spores not obviously pink on gills. Clamps absent. Does PDD87367 have equally ridged spores?
