taste - delayed reaction hot. Spores hyaline, 4-spored, strongly amyloid, minutely spinose. Trama hyphae without thickened walls, spores length=3.7\endash4.6µm (µ=4.1, σ=0.3), width=2.6\endash3.4µm (µ=3.1, σ=0.3), Q=1.2\endash1.5µm (µ=1.3, σ=0.1), n=14. The discernable morphological differences from A. tasmaniensis seem slim but the molecular distinction is clear. See Petersen's Sydowia article
