Specimen notes
Public Note:
small and hard fruitbody. FeSO4 indistinctly pink. Guaiac pinkish indistinct. Cap orange in KOH. Cap dry, finely pruinose (peach skin texture). Some gills with greyish edge. Stem base with violaceous flush. Gills F, cap vinaceous grey. DCY absent. Taste mild. same as 10855. Pat thinks griseobrunnea. [JAC2010] DCY plentiful (but SV-ve), gill cystidia numerous and prominent. Spores length=7.7–8.7µm (µ=8.0, σ=0.3), width=7.0–8.0µm (µ=7.5, σ=0.3), Q=1.0–1.1µm (µ=1.1, σ=0.0), n=9. Must have sent to Pat? Confirmed as clade 6. This does posess the reticulate spores of aucklandica/pudorina. The cystidia are closer to pudorina but that with bitter taste. Both aucklandica/pusorina with tea-tree. My collections could be either but PL3402 is from Nothofagus in Fiordland and FZ07/0941 is under Leptospermum.
