Regarding lacrymalis, stillatus and capitatus... Reid synonimised lacrymalis into stillatus but shirouzu shows molecular differences between stillatus, lacrymalis and capitatus, with stillatus way off. I will stick with McNabb's description of lacrymalis as pezizoid/gyrose - and is considerably larger than stillatus and definitely not stipitate. I suspect Moser's picture of D. capitatus in the Atlas is lacrymalis as the image does not show stipitate fruitbodies.
