staining red. Gills drying reddish brown. Spores strongly dextrinoid 7.6-8.6(8.1) SD0.4 n=7 x 4.2-4.6(4.5) SD0.1 n=7, cap a cutis of unclamped red/brown hyphae, 4-spored. Cheilocystidia slightly pigmented. Ring zone not basal like some other collections of reddening Leucoagaricus. Spores with metachromatic endospore. Has affinities with L. croceovelutinus collections. Without germ pore. Sequences suggest this should be placed in Leucoagaricus. length=6.7–8.6µm (µ=7.4, σ=0.51), width=4.0–4.9µm (µ=4.3, σ=0.22), Q=1.5–2.1µm (µ=1.73, σ=0.15), n=17
