Public Note:
staining slightly yellow. Smell faint of aniseed. Cap to 15cm. Ring pendant, friable and thick (cog wheel - characteristsic of arvensis). Gills with distinct grey colour. Schaeffer pink-orange. KOH yellow. Cheilocystidia patchy, mostly globose and catenate. Spores length=6.3–7.6µm (µ=6.9, σ=0.32), width=4.4–5.1µm (µ=4.8, σ=0.23), Q=1.3–1.6µm (µ=1.45, σ=0.07), n=20. A. nivescens sesnu Geml Genbank. Not very 'nivescens', = A. osecanus for auct Eur.
