Public Note:
white spored. Strong fruity/perfume smell. Staining red-brown in KOH. Known from Europe on Fagus. Heavily infested with mites - as noted by Alick for British collections. Spines are not as clumped into 'hands' as portrait in FM3(2). Specimen also has a black yeast growing over older fungal material. Spores inamyloid 5-6.3(5.4) SD0.5 n=6 x 2.4-2.9(2.6) SD0.2 n=6.
