Public Note:
Cultures of NZFS 3677 and TTT 1917 (ex PDD 93221) exactly the same morphologically (growth rate, and also behaved the same when staining for laccase enzyme with alpha naphthol; both stained positive in a ‘struggling’ way- sometimes did, weakly, and sometimes did not). Basidiospores matched those of PDD 89162, and as noted By Barbara Paulus for that specimen, are smaller than recorded for C. evolvens.

Public Note:
Genbank JX129179 sequence from Paulus culture (TTT 1917) grown from this specimen. Another Paulus culture (TTT1923, from Rauroa Reserve, Waikato) also has a matching ITS sequence. Also matching is ICMP 16027, isolated into culture frrom symptomless leaves of Dacrydium cupressinum.
