Specimen notes
Public Note:
Disc tiny, white, sessile, short stiff, white hairs. Hairs obclavate, about 30-45 x 6.5-9 µm, 3-4 µm diam near apex, wall in upper part thick, refractive (retains this in KOH), finely ornamented all over, not encrusted. Asci saccate, small foot-like base, J-, about 55-60 x 20 µm. Ascospores cylindric, taper slightly near both rounded ends, slightly curved, 0-septate, hyaline, about 27-28.5 x 4-4.5 µm. Paraphyses undifferentiated at apex, 1-1.5 µm diam. Excipular cells globose, walls slightly thickened, hyaline, nongelatinous.
