Public Note:
Atypical with cystidia rare and barely projecting. Capitate cystidia with a clear drop of exudate. Spores a slightly different shape from previously seen, nearly ovoid.

Based on ITS and LSU sequences, PDD 88324, PDD 92148, PDD 93030, PDD 98314, PDD 98315, PDD 88332, PDD 93729, PDD 89928 are all the same species. They match some isolates in GenBank identified as Lyomyces microfascicularis but are distinct from sequences from the type specimen (GenBank JN129976, voucher TNM F24757).
