Public Note:
Not in Spooner, putative new species. Apothecia short-stipitate, densely coveredw tih short stiff hairs, pale yellow, brown crystals, margin rolled in across the deep orange hymenium when dry. Spores 0-3 septate, striaght to slightly curved, ends broadly rounded, 22-25.5 x 5-6 µm. Asci broadly rounded apex, wall slightly thinner across ascus apex otherwise undifferentiated, broad cylindric to subclavate, about 75-90 x 12-16 µm
Public Note:
ITS sequence placed this in Lachnopsis. The morphology surely does not belong, but there are other specimens tentatively labelled as 'Perrotia' close by - maybe there is a wierd mix of morphology in this clade?
