Public Note:
[Horak] NZ, WO, Raglan, Mt Karioi, Te Toto Track, 200 m, on soil under Leptospermum scoparium (pure stand), 21 May 2006, E. & A.Horak 12585 (ZT, PDD 88622). P. orange (reddish-) brown, dry, smooth, papilla distinctive, dry, smooth. - L. distinctly ochre. - St. cylindrical, concolorous or paler as pileus, dry, smooth, stuffed. - Latex white, watery, unchanging. - Odour fruity, pleasant. - Taste acrid. [Leonard] Lactarius Don’t know, too orange for L. umerensis. Not L. hauroko either. Probably not worth pursuing as there is not much information on this. [Cooper] Has reticulate spores and non-strangulate cystidia. In PL's original notes as L. hauroko.
