Specimen notes
Public Note:
A candidate for E. phaeomarginatum was provided by an Australian sequence. For that reason I gave the tag name 'Keith George' to several phaeomarginatum-like collections from NZ. On further investigation I believe that Australian sequence a misidentification of E. melanopththalmium. However, 'Keith george' has spores that are a bit small for E. phaeomarginatum and more like E. saponicum. Sequences of 'Keith george' are very similar to the type. E. saponcumis distinguished from phaeomarginatum mostly on the spores size character. They may be synonyms. The spore size range is needed.
