Specimen notes
Public Note:
Larger than other collections of Lepiota from this site. Cap green with NH4OH. Stem bruising red. Ring white membranous, hanging down. Red/brown fibrils on cap and stem. No smell or taste. Whole fruitbody drying pink. Gill edge dark. If this same as 10514 & 9495 then attribution to croceovelutinus is questionable because this is green on cap with NH4OH. For vellinga in Mycotaxon 103, p97 she separates croceovelutinus/castanescens/haemorrhagica from brunnescens/americanus/badhamii which turn green & have germ pore. This turns green and doesn't have germ pore! Mycotaxon v112 flammeotincta/pyrrhus/pyrrhophaeus. Need to see cheilocystidia.
