Specimen notes
Public Note:
I take back my coments about 9347. Psathyrella (Lacrymaria) asperospora is here in NZ and clearly different to L. velutina. Microscopically at least the cheilocystidia of this aren't capitate and velutina has (Watling says asperospora also has but Bougher has cylindrical - but watercolor looks like velutina!). Spores seem similar though. And this has pleurocystidia. Spores 9.1-10.6(9.7) SD0.5 n=10 x 6.5-7.5(6.9) SD0.3 n=10, Q=1.4. First collection for NZ by Pat Leonard. Reported to MAF 2/07/2010
