Specimen notes
Public Note:
deep violaceous cap - had this before 1041 & 1061?. Ring near base and hanging down (perhaps unlike other collections). Gills drying cream. Cap hyphae with both intracellular pigment and extracellular zebra encrustation. Unclamped. Spores and cheilocystidia metachromatic. 4-spored 7-8.4(7.8) SD0.4 n=9 x 4-4.5(4.3) SD0.2 n=9. Cheilocystidia with crystals. Immature spores without dextrinoid cap. This is clearly Candusso's L. purpureorimosus which Vellinga synomises with L. purpurelolilacinus. New to NZ. 1041 & 1061 redetermined on basis of this collection but without re-examination. Reported to MAF 2/07/2010. mold infection Mar 2013. length=7.3–8.3µm (µ=7.9, σ=0.33), width=3.9–4.6µm (µ=4.2, σ=0.24), Q=1.7–2.0µm (µ=1.87, σ=0.10), n=9
