Specimen notes
Public Note:
gills pinkish but maturing chocolate. Cap with brown squamules. Taste extremely bitter. Flesh white. Changing yellow in KOH. Spore print cinnamon. No clamps. Cystidia not seen. A. mcnabii seems to be close to S. American P. statuum with Nothofagus. Spores bright golden in KOH 11.5-14(12.5) SD0.9, n=8 X 4.3-6.1(5) SD0.6, n=8. Not convinced by Geoff/Don's picture of this.
