Public Note:
no veil. Cheilo pilo, & caulocystidia purely lecythiform. Spores smooth, with germ pore, 4-spored. Watling & Taylor to mesospora, but as usual closer to rickeniana. Spores 8.4-9.6(8.8) SD0.4 n=11 x 4.6-5.2(4.8) SD0.2 n=10. Cystidial head 5.8-8.3(7.3) SD0.9 n=8. FAN to rickeniana. Sequence identical to material from Australia (as Mycena albidocapilaris! MEL2321902), and close but not same as Italian C. rickenianan. Closer to C. echinata, known to be similar to C. rickeniana. This is perhaps a better name for the NZ/Au material.
