Specimen notes
Public Note:
Spores 12x8um. No smell. Current squences (Sept 2015) paint a confusing picture.Cortinarius novaezelandiae ined. = C. ohauensis and different to napivelatus/epiphaeus under ITS. However these latter two are less easily distinguished. napivelatus is supposed to have shorter stipe with marginate bulb and veilar remnants. Sequences indicate two groups which are close in ITS but apart in LSU, and in addition sequences together in ITS are not always in LSU.
