Specimen notes
Public Note:
All tissue strongly dextrinoid. Spores amyloid 7-8x4um. Cap hymeniform, siccus, clamped. Definitely mycena rather than marasmius. 4-spored. Cheilocystidia spikes 2-3um (and close to M. detrusa s.s.). M. mamaku has same shape spores (incorrect in protologue). The key difference is the discreet cheilocystidia with long setulae whereas in M. mamaku the cheilo form parallel stranded ropes with diverticulae.
