Specimen notes
Public Note:
Caulocystidia obvious at stem apex but present along length. Cap hyphae and trama dextrinoid. Spores inamyloid. Cap a irregular cutis with erect terminal clavate elements, hyphae with coarse extra-cellular pigment in helical stripes. Cap and trama partially gelatinised. Tissue clamped. Spores glued in 4's (like some clitocybes). Cheilocystidia large vesiculose, thin walled and collapsing. Basidia and spores weakly cyanophilous. Spores pip-shaped ellipsoid 7.5x4um. Odd being on wood - but what else but Gymnopus? Is near Marsmiellus affixus. Not G. vinaceus as that = nom.conf. = G. ceraceicola?
