Specimen notes
Public Note:
Fruitbody pale pink. bleaching leaves? Stem maybe slimy. Gill edge concolorous (but pinker on dried gills). Stem with caulocystidia at apex. Attached to leaf by radiating fibrils. Cap rose pink when dry. Gills subdecurrent. Cheilocystidia coraloid [actually cap material?], pleurocystidia absent. Spores amyloid, cylindrical, 7x3um, 4-spored. Trama and sub-cutis dextrinoid. Sub-cuticle a hymeniderm with coraloid surface hyphae. Section polyadelphia. Nothing in Grgurinovich. This is close to Segedins' oratiensis and may in fact be within an emmended concept. Segedin's collection (single collection) is on wood and has darker gill edge. Note that Stevenson's Crinipellis roseola is probably the same small pink Mycena. The combination in Mycena cannot be made, non Murrill, propose M. stevensonii nom. nov. Cap diam. 3-6mm. Stem diam. 1mm. Basidia to 20 x 6um. Cheilocystidia 30 x 4um. Spores length=5.6–6.6µm (µ=6.0, σ=0.35), width=2.5–2.9µm (µ=2.7, σ=0.17), Q=2.0–2.5µm (µ=2.22, σ=0.21), n=7. Cap finger rto 7um.
